For those of you who aren't in the know, Call of Duty: Black Ops is a megaselling FPS (First Person Shooter) military videogame. One of the most intriguing aspects of the game is its "multiplayer" aspect, where people all around the globe can get together to virtually shoot at each other. It gets slightly more complicated than that, but for the purposes of a one sentence summary, that'll have to do. I personally play the video game regularly and enjoy it; I don't waste my life away on it, but I like to play for a few hours every couple of days.
Today I decided to take the day off, and decided to fire it up, and I entered my favorite mode, "hardcore search and destroy". One line summary: you must plant a bomb at a specific site without getting killed, there are no respawns (once you die, you die), and the hardcore aspect means you can kill or get killed by friendly fire, and it takes 1 to 2 bullets to kill an enemy, or be killed by one.
This was a pretty intense match; a good match where the teams seemed evenly matched skill-wise. We where "defending" or trying to prevent the enemy from planting the bomb at our sites. The enemy decided to rush us, and most my teammates had been killed pretty early in the match. There were only two people left on our team, and 3 left on theirs. With my trusty AK74u, I turned a corner, and shot my first victim. A claymore helped to reveal the location of my next victim: I shot the claymore, set it off with a boom, turned the corner and put two bullets square in the forehead of my next victim. I traveled over to bomb site "A" just in time to hear the opponent had set the bomb; as he got up to run, I put a few bullets and he dropped. I jumped over to defuse the bomb, was about 2/3 of the way done defusing, when my inexperienced teammate comes flying around the corner, lays out a few bullets, and shoots me dead. Now if that weren't bad enough, apparently he saw a leaf blow or something, because he proceeded to fire at a window overlooking the bomb site, apparently he hadn't gotten the message the other teammates were dead. After about 10 seconds wasted, he charges to the bomb to defuse it, only to realize he doesn't have enough time to defuse it, and as he backs away, he triggers a claymore and kills himself
I don't say this often, but god-damn that is such a n00b.
